County tags
The 1973 Rappahannock County tags will go on sale March 15, according to the Treasurer, Mrs. Frances Foster. In order to purchase a county license sticker, you must have your personal property tax paid and your vehicle registration card stamped by the Commissioner of the Revenue.
For a transfer or reissue of a county tag, the old sticker must be scraped off the windshield and brought to the Treasurer along with your receipt. A duplicate tag will be issued free of charge.
The Treasurer’s Office in Washington, Va. is open daily 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:30 until 11 a.m. The office will be closed on Saturdays from May 12 through October 27. □
