William Racer of Berryville and Vernon Racer of Winchester were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Curtis and Hugh J. Racer. Weekend guests in the Curtis home were their daughter and son-inlaw, Capt. and Mrs. David C. Collins, Michelle and Bill of Laurel, Md.
Mrs. James Adkins accompanied by Kevin, Aletha, Benita, and Lavonne Adkins and Roger Smoot spent from Saturday through Monday visiting her mother, Mrs. Notie McClaugherty, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ball in Peterstown, W. Va., Mr. and Mrs. A.D. McClaugherty and Betty in Christiansburg, Va., Mr. and Mrs. Harry Blankenship and family in Bozoo, W. Va. and attended church Sunday in Narrows, Va. where her brother, Rev. Kellis McClaugherty held services.

To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the provisions of Title 57, Section 17, of the Code of Virginia, notice is hereby given that on the 16th day of December, 1974, we the undersigned Trustees of the property of the above mentioned Church, after giving notice once a week for four successive weeks in the Rappahannock News, a newspaper having general circulation in the County of Rappahannock, will file a sworn petition with the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County, Virginia, in which we will set forth the fact that the real estate held by the above mentioned church in Boston, Rappahannock County, Virginia, has been in the undisputed possession of said church for a period of more than twenty-five (25) years and that the boundaries are as follows:
“Beginning at a stone pile in the line of a tract now or formerly Jackson, a corner with a former Maude Miller lot; thence with Jackson S 0-18 W 311.76’ to a set stone at a fence corner on the south side of Rt. 626, corner with another Maude Miller lot; thence with that lot, crossing Rt. 626, S 43-47 W 355.14’ to a point in the right of way line of the highway; thence with that line N 24-41 W 410.00’ to a point at the center of the old road, corner with Bennett and the former Miller lot; thence with the center of the old road S 52-00 E 90.75’ to an iron rod; thence continuing with Miller N 30-39 E 297.00’ to a nail at a chestnut stump, S 84-47 E 137.26’ to an iron pin on the west side of the fire trail, N 81-50 E 59.57’, crossing the fire trail, to the beginning. This lot as described contains 3.179 acres.”
