‘Cakeless Sales'
The Ladies Auxiliary to Washington Fire Company and Rescue Squad has sent letters to residents of Hampton District in regard to a “Cakeless Cake Sale” for the benefit of these organizations. The letter explains this method of raising funds for the groups.
Contributions are needed for the construction project now being undertaken by these volunteer organizations. Persons who have not answered and returned letters are asked to please do so, said Mrs. Ruth Clark and Mrs. Ethel Bailey, who are heading the fund drive.
