Perkins
James Beverly Perkins, retired .mail supervisor for the Post Office Department and author of “SiSez” column in the Rappahannock News, died Wednesday, December 18, 1974 at his home nearSperryville. He was 72.
He was a veteran of World War I, a member of Rappahannock Garden Club and an active member of Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church. He also belonged to the A.A.R.P. and N.A.R.F.E.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth and two step-grandchildren, Cynthia and Douglas Cumins, all of Sperryville; a step-daughter, Mrs. t Dawson Nail of Falls Church; three sisters, Mrs. L.H. McFarland, Mrs. Robert E. Sims and Mrs. W. A. Carroll of Hartsville, S.C.; and three brothers, William E. Perkins of Camden, S.C., R. Dewey Perkins of Hartsville, S.C. and Carl W. Perkins of Sumter, S.C.
A memorial service was conducted at 2 p.m. December 21 at the Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. Ronald Wiley. The family requests that expressions of sympathey be made to the Heart Memorial Fund through local chapter chairman, Mrs. Paul Miller, Flint Hill.D
