building visited
APPROXIMATELY 35 people braved the cold wind Sunday afternoon to visit the Rappahannock His - torical Society’s building on Gay Street in Washington, to exchange ideas and make plans for the building’s restoration. Many new memberships were pledged.
The Society’s president, Mrs. Virginia Miller, has named July 4th, 1975, as the date anticipated when the building will be completed. Then it will store material already collected and which, hopefully, will be collected in the future, serving as a museum.
The Society will sponsor a House Tour in October, coinciding with the dates for the Dried Flower Sale of the Episcopal Churchwomen of Bromfield Parish, October 18 and 19.
Membership fees of $5 per couple, $3 single membership or $1 Junior may be mailed to Mrs. Robert Anderson, Box 53, Woodville. The next meeting of the Society will be in May.D
