Mr. Settle, 78, a farmer, died March 10, 1975 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. A native of Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late Brueton Settle and the late Roberta Elizabeth Settle. His wife, Rosie B. Settle, died in 1971.
He is survived by six sons, Billy Settle of Reva, Charles R. Settle and Fred T. Settle, both of Castleton, Brueton F. Settle of Front Royal, Lee T. Settle of Falls Church and Carroll S. Settle of Vienna; two daughters, Mrs. Lois E.. Freeman of Fairfax and Mrs. Anna M. Gore of Culpeper; 34 grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren; a brother, Brue Settle of Castleton; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Ficklin of Hillcrest Heights, Md.; and two foster sons, Edward Grigsby of Castleton and Robert Grigsby of Manassas.□
