.From Page 2 it really breaks us up to walk across our land and realize how really hilarious such despoilation can be.

Good, clean fun, that’s what we like. And every two months when we get our electric bill from Potomac Edison, nearly double what it was last year, we join with tens of thousands of other customers of PE and Vepco in one long belly laugh.

I’m sure that Mr. McCammond and the other utility officials, however, can laugh a lot longer than we consumers, because we’re the ones getting shafted, not them; because when costs go'iip they can simply pass along all the added costs to us; because they have maintained high stock dividends despite the dwindling economy; because no ugly new powerlines are being shoved through their back yards; and because we the consumers pay their substantial salaries, their expenses, and are forced to pay for big new construction facilities that aren’t even needed.

It isn’t really funny, Mr. McCammond.

I’m sorry I can’t laugh with you.
