IN MEMORIAM
In loving memory of our dear Mother, Annie B. Payne, who departed this life one year ago, April 19, 1974. Mother dear your name we love T’was given you by God above Although one year you’ve been away We miss you more and more each day. So gentle in manner, so patient in pain. Our dear one left us for heaven to gain. With Nature so gentle and actions so kind What a wonderful memory you left behind. Sometimes when our hearts grow weary or our tasks seem very long, When our burdens look too heavy and we can’t go on, Then we gain a fresh new courage,
As we rise to proudly say, Let us do our duty, That was our Mother’s way. Thus we keep her memory precious
While we never cease to pray, That at last when lengthening shadows Mark the evening of life’s day, They may find us waiting calmly to go our mother’s way.
By her loving children
