H.B. Wood, Sr.
A graveside funeral service for Henry B. Wood, Sr., 80, of Woodville was held Saturday at the Woodville Cemetery conducted by the Rev. B.G. Titchenell. Mr. Wood died April 10, 1975 at his residence.
He was a lifelong resident of Woodville, a member of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors for 23 years and a veteran of World War I with- duty overseas. He was a member of the Washington Masonic Lodge» 78 AF & AM.
He was the son of the late James Barnett Wood and Nellie Johnson Wood of Rappahannock.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Julia Quaintance Wood and one son, H.B. Wood, Jr., both of Woodville; and one grandson. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Ann Hildrup of Chancellor. □
Mrs. Freeman
Mrs. Rosie Broy Freeman of Washington, Va. died Saturday, April 12, 1975 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late John and Geneva Fletcher Broy.
Survivors are her husband, James Edward Freeman, two foster daughters, Missjda Jane Ferrell of Washington, D.C., and Miss Seneca Gatewood of Washington, Va., a foster son, John Fletcher of Huntly, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church, Washington with the Rev. R.P. Springle officiating Tuesday. Burial was in Washington Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Turner, Otha Gatewood, Edward Bailey, Jr., Coleman Starks, Theodus Barber and Billie Jackson.□
