Scenic River designation, which would have to be approved the General Assembly and the Governor, would restrict the damming and recreational use of the designated rivers. The Commission of Outdoor Recreation has recommended that a 29-mile segment of the Rappahannock from Remington to Motts Run near Fredericksburg, the 13-mile segment of the Rapidan from Germanna Bridge to the confluence, and the 27 mile stretch of the Goose Creek from the Fauquier-Loudoun County line to the Potomac River be designated State Scenic Rivers.□
