Barn dance A “barn dance” will be held Saturday, November 1, in the barn of Jay and Helen Dawson, north of Huntly to raise funds to pay legal costs of fighting Vepco’s proposal to run a 500 kv powerline
across the northern part of
Rappahannock County. The barn dance will feature Claude Embrey and his band and a “caller.”
Tickets will be $10 a person for adults and $5 a person for those under 18. □
Driver hurt Howard Amos Clark of Amissville in a 69 Corvette sustained a bruised shoulder when he crash - ed on Route 211 Friday night. According to Trooper R. A. Baines, the Clark vehicle went out of control, skidded sideways down the highway and plunged down an embankment. Investigation continues and charges are pending, said the officer.
