Delegate Miller, who carried a petition to Attorney General Andrew Miller with 24,000 signatures opposing the fossil fuel adjustment clause, further stated that there is great concern among consumers regarding rate increases, and added, “It is obvious that the original request of Vepco for $135.6 million was far too much and I would encourage the SCC to keep a close watch on future request as well as the operational policies of the Company to ensure that those of us who are consumers will have the benefit of the lowest electric rates possible.”
