I do not question Mr. Baumgardner’s complete personal integrity and absolute dedication to the public weal. He should not question mine. My position is not only in line with countless conflict-of-interest statutes now on the books in state capitols and in Washington, but also with Common Cause, the widely-known “people’s lobby” that already has done so much to give us a better government in the nation’s capital.
Incidentally, Mr. Baumgardner’s letter also said I had “attacked” another delegate, who, as it happens, has sponsored some good legislation affecting lobbyists. I did not “attack” him, or the other legislators named by Common Cause as having lobbyist-registered law clients. I quoted the list made public by ComParent-teacher

Thursday, October 16, has been set aside as Parent Teacher Conference Night at Rappahannock County Elemetary School. All parents are invited and urged to visit I their child’s classroom to discuss his progress with his teacher. Teachers will be in their respective classromms from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
There will be a business meeting of the P.T.A. in the auditorium at 7 p.m. to elect officers for the 1975-76 term. The Nominating Committee will present a slate of officers, and nominations will also be accepted from the floor.
The Book Fair has been scheduled for this evening a convenience for the parents. Coffee will be served in the auditorium parents should feel free to go in whenever convenient and serve themselves.□
