THE production costs faced by Rappahannock County farmers and other producers across the State and Nation have advanced significantly in recent years, with sharpest gains recently for energy and fertilizer. A measure of the full impact of these farm production expenditures is the goal of the nationwide survey set for February by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Robert E. Schooley, Statistician in Charge for Virginia, said that during February, Mrs. Charlotte S. Hewitt, a trained interviewer from Winchester will call on several Rappahannock County farmers to take part in the survey by responding to questions about their production expenditures.
