The Washington United Methodist Church will hold a bake sale Saturday, February 14 from 10-2 p.m. at the church.□

Wrecks reported

Richard Nelson Jenkins of Madison was cited for reckless driving following a single-vehicle crash an Route 707 last Thursday. According to Trooper J. A. Watson, Jenkins was operating a 1967 Rambler when he struck a bridge abutment and went down an embankment.

Jenkins, and Charles Haines of Etlan, a passenger, were taken by Culpeper Rescue Squad to Culpeper Memorial Hospital. In addition to reckless driving, Jenkins was charged with improper tags displayed.

Friday, another crash occurred on Route 622 Just east of Route 522 in tiie Huntly area. Trooper Watson said Richard Ford of Severn, Md. was operating a 75 Ford station wagon when the vehicle skidded on an isolated patch of ice, went down a bank and into a fence. Damage to the station wagon was set at $400 and at $150 to the fence. No charges were made.
