MOST southeastern farm commodity prices trended steady to strong during the week ending February 6, USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service reports. Feeder cattle and calves posted substantial gains, while butcher hog prices advanced mostly 75 cents.
Grain prices moved modestly higher during the week. Corn gained 3 to 5 cents with a cash spread of $2.51 to $2.82. Soybeans were up 12 to 16 cents with a cash spread of $4.40 to $4.85.
