Kindergarten would

pose hardships

No one will deny children need all the learning experiences which were pointed out in a letter to the Editor in February 5 issue of Rappahannock News.

However, there are some VERY important factors which were not mentioned in that letter, i.e.;—entrance date for first grade pupils; long bus rides and long days.

With the entrance date for first grade pupils being changed to January first, many kindergarten age children will be in first grade and four and a half year olds in kindergarten.

It would be interesting to know how Bereiter, Engleman and many other educators would react to putting 41/2 - 5 year olds on a school bus on anyone of the following schedules:
