Cyclists hurt

Three Amissville motorcyclists trail riding in the Big Woods sustained injuries when they ran into a wire cable across a logging road. Four others completing the group escaped the wire.

Roger Cordani, Kenny Pullen and Rickey Wood were riding Sunday when the accident occurred. They were taken to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton by Amissville Rescue Squad and Cordani was later transferred to the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville.

According to a spokesman for the rescue unit, Cordani had cuts and extensive bruises; Pullen received chest injures and a dislocated shoulder while Wood sustained a cut mouth, face and neck bruises and abrasions. Pullen and Wood have been released from the hospital and Cordani is expected home by the end of the week.
