APPLE AND PEACH GROWERS are reminded that Ed. Phillips, V. P. I. Area Fruit Specialist, will be in the county every Wednesday morning starting March 31 and continuing until the end of May. If you have questions concerning orchard management, site and variety selection, insect and disease identification and control, please call on the Monday or Tuesday preceeding Ed’s weekly Wednesday visit. Ed will return your call or visit your orchard which ever is necessary. Since Ed. only has a limited amount of time, please do not make one call and expect Ed. to visit your orchard every week as this would be unfair to other orchardist in the county.
PRIVATE PESTICIDE APPLICATOR’S TEST will be given at the Episcopal Church Parish Hall at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 26. Anyone who signed up for the self study program or who was unable to attend the one day training session may take the written test at this time.
