The festival takes its name from the well known legend of the naming of the Town of Front Royla which occured in the hectic pre-Revolutionary days. While drilling troops near the royal oak that shaded the town common, the drill officer would shout the order “Front the royal oak.” In that way he restored troop order and unknowingly named a town.
Numerous craftsmen are planning to take part in the festivities and will offer their craft items for sale.
