THE BOARD directed Superintendent Norton to explore a wording change in teachers’ contracts with his advisors in Richmond. The Board is considering an alteration in physical examination requirements.

Norton was also asked by the Board to look into Rappahannock’s share of the phone bill for the Title I Coordinator of Federal Funds in Front Royal. The seven-month $750 bill inspired commentsvof “unreasonable” and “outrageous” from Board members. Norton didn’t recommend that payment be withheld but agreed to make a “diplomatic inquiry” into the justification behind the bill.D
