Kevin Reil left Thursday for Salem after spending the last few months with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie B. Mills.
Mrs. Laura Fidler, Charles and Keithren Fidler and Michael Williams were in Edinburg Saturday to visit Mrs. Doris Smith and Mrs. Betty Jenkins. Spending Sunday at Cacapon State Park, W. Va. were Mrs. Laura Fidler, Earl Williams; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Chadwell and children; Mr. and Mrs. George Partlowe, Dusty and Diane Sealock; Tammy and Brenda Henry; Mr. and Mrs. Huey Brown, Mark and Mat; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fidler and Keithren; Kenny Ross and Michael and Tony Williams.
The beautiful day, the record attendance, the inspiring message in word and song, the enjoyable fellowship as well as delightful picnic lunch all combined to make Willis Chapel Homecoming a time long to be remembered. It was a pleasure to greet old friends and make new ones. The Rev. James Grimmer of Chesapeake, former pastor and guest speaker, was accompanied by Mrs. Grimmer, Susan, Shawn and Brian, and they were Saturday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Campbell in Front Royal. Others there from a distance included Mr. and Mrs. W. Ray Abies and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Spinks, all of Annandale, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Sealock, Rodney and Todd, of Richmond and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Sealock and Karen of Falls Church.
Mrs. Gladys Williams had as weekend guests, Miss Cindy Williams of Front Royal and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Harris of Manassas.
Mr. and Mrs. Guy Foster and family are home after a week’s vacation in Pickens, S.C. where they were the guests of Mrs. Foster’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Z.T. Porter. They also spent a day in Cherokee, N.C. and enroute home stopped over night with their friend, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hunt in Greensboro, N.C.
