Scout meeting

A Girl Scout Service Unit meeting was held Saturday at the home of Mrs. D.L. Jones near Amissville with leaders of the various local groups attending. Plans were formulated for a Parents Evening Program to be given and the reorganization of Scout Troops was discussed.

In addition to Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Ted Mullinnix, who is Scout Field Director, those attending included Mrs. Pat Helmer, Mrs. Lou Raney, Mrs. Judi Burke, Mrs. Diane Watson, Mrs. Betty O’Connor, Mrs. Louise Ellis and Mrs. Betty Jones.□

SOFTBALL ACTION

The Rappahannock Poor Boys softball team defeated the Flint Hill softball team Sunday with the score of 19-3. The Rappahannock Poor Boys are scheduled to play Washington, Sunday, September 12 at 4 p.m. at the Rappahannock Elementary School. □

BOARD TO MEET

The regular monthly meeting of the Rappahannock Rapidan Community Mental Health and Mental Retardation Services Board will be held on Tuesday, September 14 at 2 p.m. at the Virginia Baptist Home in Culpeper, Va. □
