Rappahannock New* Staff Writer “We don’t want just the ises discontinued. We want t torn down,” Washington attorney David Konick told the Rappahannock supervisors on Monday in requesting that the building permit issued two years ago to the Nationwide Pentecostal Evangelistic Association be declared null and void.
On behalf of 15 families who live near Rock Mills on Route 622, Konick tried unsuccessfully last month to block the NPEA from holding its annual holiness campground camp meeting after a conditional temporary variance for camping was issued by the county’s board of zoning appeals.
The camp meeting went on as scheduled for 10 days in June, despite a restraining order issued by Circuit Court Judge Shore Robertson and upheld by the Supreme Court of Virginia after appeal by NPEA to that tribunal.
