Later, Mary Neal, a landowner with property near the NPEA campground, asked the supervisors what they planned to do. “You heard two lawyers. One asked for action. The other asked it be tabled. You just slid over it. Nothing was said.”
“And nothing will be said.” Luke replied, adding that the supervisors wanted to first discuss the issue with commonwealth’s attorney ^ Douglas Baumgardner, the board’s legal advisor.

According to Snead, the four-laning of 211 between Washington and Sperryville is not now on any kind of schedule and the right-of-way is being sought in anticipation of final scheduling at some point in the future. "I can’t say definitely where the money for the right-ofway is coming from,” said Snead, explaining that he withdrew funds from a revolving account as land became available and then replaced the money later with separate allocations.
"We haven’t made any tremendous headway,” he said. “We’re doing what we can.”
