Marine Pfc. Harold W. Pettie Jr., son of Harold W. and Donna J. Pettie of Viewtown, has been promoted to his present rank while serving with 2nd Marine Division, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, N. C.
He joined the Marine Corps in October 1979. His wife, Margaret, is the daughter of David E. and Margaret C. Yowell also of Viewtown.
