According to Biddle, he has made repeated unsuccessful effort over the past year to schedule a meeting with a quorum. Randall Updike, representative from Hampton District on the WSA, “attended one meeting over a year ago. Mr. (Carson) Johnson, the Piedmont District representative, also attended that meeting but has not been seen since. Mr. (Granville) Eastham, now resigned, has attended two meetings. The same is true of Mr. (Ike) Parrish. Unfortunately, neither Mr. Parrish nor Mr. Eastham were there at the same time to make up a quorum,” Biddle wrote.
The former WSA chairman’s resignation will be effective June 30. With his letter, he included another, the second from Granville Eastham.
Eastham also tendered his resignation, effective immediately, citing additional work responsibilities which will require his being out of town.

CPR Course
The Rappahannock Fire and Rescue Association will sponsor classes on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at Rappahannock County High School on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, June 22-24, from 7 to 10 p.m. This American Red Cross CPR course is aimed at the general public rather than rescue personnel and will teach participants what to do in those all-important minutes before the ambulance arrives. Instructors for the free courses will be Julian Brown of Sperryville and Ken Pullen and Frankie Huff of Flint Hill.
