Neighboring landowners of the Nationwide Pentacostal Evangelistic Association’s campground near Rock Mills will go to court in Warrenton Thursday morning, seeking either a temporary injunction against the NPEA’s annual camp meeting or limits on use of the property to a maximum of four hours per day.
In papers filed Monday, attorney David Konick notes that a consent decree issued last month by Circuit Court Judge Shore Robertson requires the NPEA to upgrade its existing drainfield and septic system. Under the decree, the septic system at the camp ground must meet health department specifications for handling sewage disposal for 500 persons daily.
The consent decree stipulates that the week long camp meeting, scteduled to start June 20, may include worship services from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. with “fellowship activities" only allowed after 10 p.m.
