Six year* ago, I remember jvell the day, When your blessed Saviour called you away, Your life to me was so sweet and kind, A better husband, one will never find, My life must go on, *tia true, But it’s never the same since I lost you. From this land of pain and sorrow, To the land of peace and rest, God has taken you dear husband, Where you now have eternal rest. The gate of memory will never close, For 1 miss you more than anyone knows. That dear one in Heaven, Lord, I yearn to see, Whom I know is watching and waiting for me, For now, I’ll travel on and do my best, Ere too long, I too, will come home to rest1. Neither do I have the fear, For our meeting again is drawing near.
