To the editor:
It is only fitting that the scourge of the Almighty be visited upon us before we, the perverse generation, pass from the scene. Perhaps if we turn to the Lord and repent, we can still salvage our civilization for our children and grandchildren.
We have torn down from on high the God of love and enthroned on the heights the golden calf of Humanism. Our main thrust in life has been material benefits, money and creature comforts, but our souls can go to hell.
The politicians in Washington only reflect the morals of the people. Is the primary reason our country is bankrupt the fiscal irresponsibility of its citizens? This fiscal irresponsibility, of course, is reflected in our governments at all levels.
