“That was the best that I’ve seen the team play,” Coach Paratore said. “The crowd was really behind us, and I think it was really good for the girls to beat a good team.”

He added that he felt the team reacted well to the pressure of the game, including a mid-match change in strategy necessitated by Central’s powerful offense. “They had some tall girls, good spikers who could really slam the ball. But we adjusted and played well.

“Every person on the team did and outstanding job — even the players on the bench contributed to the win,” the coach said.
