We’re returning to more seasonable weather following temperatures near 70earlier this week. It was a beautiful sight last Sunday to see skiers on the slopes at nearby Cherokee Ski Resort, made possible with artificial snow. Only 45 minutest away in Linden, near Front Royal, many area residents have been flocking to the resort which is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Lessons are offered from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. The Amissville Ruritan Club has invited local accountant Q. Earl Yancey to discuss taxes at this month’s meeting on Feb. 20 at Amissville Baptist.
