are made. Brian said it really made you appreciate our country. People may think they have it rough, but until you see the conditions those people, and many in their position, Uve, you realize how blessed we really are.

TTiey shared how the church services had really been a blessing to them. The people were really excited about serving God. They didn’t seem to mind that some of the strings were missing on their guitars. The preacher’s eight-year son played the drums - what there was of them. The lad had no toys but one of the volunteers made him a toy airplane from the scrap wood left from building the church.

They said it was hard to believe it, but they saw people washing their hair outside in the open, in the early morning hours when temperatures would only be in the 30s. Most people lived in very close quarters. The volunteers installed a real door to replace the cardboard door oh the preacher’s small house.

They said they had gone to Mexico to help them but they felt the Mexican people had really been a blessing to them by their sincerity and enthusiastic worship. The area in which they worked may be poor materially-speaking, but they were very rich in so many other ways.
