• Dennis Lee White, 44, of Washington,
Va. was charged with driving under the influence after a single-vehicle accident at 7:15 p.m. Jan. 28, according to Sgt. Adams.
White was operating a 1984 Ford pickup southbound on Route 626, two-tenths of a mile north of U.S. 522, when he apparently ran off the
right side of the highway and hit an embankment, said Sgt. Adams. His
pickup turned on its side.
The driver was injured and the pickup sustained $500 in damages. Trooper S.M. Knick charged White.
• James Ralph Lewis, 26, of Luray was charged with possession of marijuana after a traffic stop at 8:20 a.m. Feb. 3 on U.S. 211-522, twotenths of a mile west of Route 626, according to Sgt. Adams.
Lewis was operating a 1984 Ford Econoline van when he was stopped for speeding by Trooper S.M. Knick, said Sgt. Adams.
A consent search revealed a smoking device and a small bag of suspected marijuana, said Sgt. Adams.
