Antique show planned
The Culpeper Extension Homemakers’s Council has set the weekend of May 16 and 17 for their second annual antique show. The show will be held at the Culpeper Agriculture Enterprise Grounds, Route 29 South, Culpeper. Spaces are available for dealers on a first come base. 'Culpeper Day' to be held
The Culpeper Jaycees will be sponsoring “Culpeper Day” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 2 on Davis St. in downtown Culpeper. The festival will take place rain or shine. Persons interested in reserving a space to display crafts, information and/or exhibits must send a completed entry form by April 16. The cost of each sapce (equivalent to a parking space) is $25. Sewing seminar to be held
“Updating Your Sewing Skills" will be the topic of a sewing seminar at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at the Rappahannock County Extension Office. The speaker, Beverly Butterfield, who is the Extension Home Economist in Fauquier County, will discuss and demonstrate what’s new for 1992 in fabrics, notions, finishing techniques, serging, embellishments to garments and other tips for the home sewer. The Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation Distrid. (Culpeper SWCD), in promoting the nationwide observance of Soil and Water Stewardship Week, has a variety of free literature and educational materials available to cRurches, schools, organizations and other groups or individuals. The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board (RRCSB) will hold its regular monthly meeting at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11 in the Library of the Lord Culpeper Building, 401 South Main St., Culpeper.
