On a personal note, I have as strong a feeling about this as anything I have ever believed in before. So many people like myself are what we are today due to the Cooperative Extension programs. It teaches so many leadership and responsibility and learning by doing, [teaching] that is not always available in the school systems. I think this can be attributed to the many volunteers who donate their time and talent^ to the betterment of young people. This can only be accomplished with a coordinated effort along with the Cooperative Extension Service staff.
The Culpeper-Rappahannock area young people would appreciate any assistance in being certain that the Virginia Tech addendum to the governor’s budget is approved to ensure the productivity of the commonwealth’s future.
