PUBLIC HEARING: COURTHOUSE MAINTENANCE AND LAW LIBRARY FEES

On Monday, August 3, 1992, at 7:00 p.m. at the Courthouse in Washington, Virginia, the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County will hold a public hearing to consider the following Ordinance:

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE

ASSESSMENT OF FEES FOR COURTHOUSE MAINTENANCE AND THE COUNTY LAW LIBRARY ^ 1. By authority §§14.1-133.2 and 42.1-70 of the Code of Virginia, the following sums shall be assessed as part of the costs in the following types of actions in the circuit Court, the General District Court, and the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court:

Courthouse Maintenance Fee Law Library Fee a. Civil Action 0 $4.00 b. Criminal Action $2.00 0 c. Traffic infraction $2.00 0 2. In civil actions the Law Library Fee shall be collected upon filing of the action. ° 3. In criminal and traffic cases, the Courthouse Maintenance Fee shall be collected when the Defendant is (a) charged with the violation of any statute or ordinance, and (b) a finding of guilty or not innocent is made, or the court directs that costs be paid. 4. All such fees collected shall be paid to the Treasurer of Rappahannock County to be distributed as directed by the Board of Supervisors.
