'Radio Flyer' to be shown

"Radio Flyer," Rated G, starring Tom Hanks, Lorraine Bracco, Elijah Wood and Joseph Mzzello will be shown at the Theatre at Washington, Va. on Sunday, the weekly RAAC-sponsored movie.

Director Richard Doner and screenwriter David Mickey Evans have created a tragic world between two brothers that begins after their divorced mother remarries the "king of all monsters." Their plan to build a flying machine from their Radio Flyer wagon, which they call The Big Idea becomes a race against time. The help they give each other - and the mature love that develops between them - is immensely touching. The triumph of the human spirit emphasizes the dreams and magic of childhood. Wood and Mazzellogive unforgettabel performances; there’s a powerful sibling relationship between them that seems more than merely scripted.
