John McCutcheon will perform at the third Bluemont Summer Concert of the 1992 Warrenton season at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 18. Held on the lawn of the Warren Green Hotel in downtown Warrenton, this wonderful family concert has a requested admission of $3 per person. All are welcome.
“John McCutcheon, recently called ‘the Springsteen of folk music,’ is truly one of the great performers of American traditional music,” said Bluemont director Peter Dunning.
“An engaging singer, songwriter, and storyteller, John McCutcheon performs a variety of traditional tunes, chilcmen's songp, improbable tales and ballads mostly of his own invention or design. Jo^nplays fiddle, banjo and guitar with great skill and is a virtuoso on the hammer dulcimer. He has recorded a dozen albums and has toured extensively throughout the world,” said Mr. Dunning.
