Hunter safety course
A hunter safety course will be held 1 p.m. -6 p.m. on Aug. 29 and 30 at Castleton fire hall. All persons ages 12-15 must have this course in order to purchase a license and also for first time license holders. To register or for more information call 937-5192.
Alumni baseball game

The Rappahannock Extension Office announced this week that Jack Dunford, farm management agent in Culpeper, will be working at the Extension office on Wednesday mornings beginning Sept. 2 to assist farmers and other county residents with agricultural matters until the Extension agricultural agent position is filled.
“However, people don’t have to wait until Wednesdays to call or come in,” stated Helen Smith, home economist.
