Benefit fashion show
On Thursday, Sept. 17 from noon to 2 p.m. the Rappahannock Unit of the American Cancer Society will host a luncheon and fashion show. The event will be at the Bleu Rock Inn, and will feature collections by Christing Fox, From Any Angle, For Lucy’s Friends and jewelry from Personal Treasures. Accounting class offered
Lord Fairfax Community College will be offering an applied accounting class (course . ACC115) this fall at the Rappahannock County High School beginning at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27. Tuition for the class is $123 plus the cost of textbooks. Registration will take place on the first night of class. Shooting match at CVFD
The Castieton Volunteer Fire Department will be starting its annual shooting match on Sept. 19 and continuing through Nov. 14. Cash and meat prizes will be awarded. The shooting match will begin at 1 p.m. and continue until 5 p.m. For further information please call 9376051.
Alumni baseball game

Beahm family reunion
The descendants, friends and relatives of George W. and Nancy Bolen Beahm will hold their ninth annual reunion on Sunday, Sept. 6 at the Rappahannock Park near Washington. The event will begin at 9 a.m. and all friends and relatives are invited.
Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish and beverage. Coffee will be provided and if you wish to bring a lawn chair do so. For more information contact Dorothy J. CCWHY teen dance

Classes to be held
Apprenticeship related instruction classes for various trade professions, including bricklaying, building maintenance, cosmetology, carpentry, electricity, hvac, industrial maintenance, and plumbing will begin at Piedmont Technical Education at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 14. •

Craft show planned
