These are the school bus routes for the upcoming school year. Students are urged to be at their “stops” at least 15 minutes early the first day of school on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Changes to last year’s routes are in italics. Please address bus route questions to Robert Chappell, assistant superintendent/transportation director at 987-8773. Overcrowding or safety concerns may necessitate further route changes.
Bus 1 - Rosie Wharton, driver. Elen Venue/Fodderstack/Child Care Center. Start at approximately 7:35 a.m. on Route 729 at intersection with U.S. 211 heading towards Flint Hill; right on U.S. 522 (no pickups); left on Route 641 to right on Route 606; right on Route 628 to turnaround at Route 629 intersection; right on Fodderstack Road, to Business U.S. 2111522 through Washington and pickup up to U.S. 211; right on U.S. 211 and pickup at Child Care Center (CCLC). (Bus 6 will service Route 629 area).
Bub 2 - Charlotte Tummeyer, driver. Flint Hill area. Start at approximately 7:30 a.m. from U.S. 522 on Route 637 about 1/2 mile to turnaround; left on U.S. 522 (no pickups)-, right on Route 630 to turnaround at Rt. 631; right on Route 628; right on Route 663 about one mile to turnaround; right on Route 628; left on Route 659; right on Route 641; right on U.S. 522 and pickup up to U.S. 211. (Bus H will service Route 662 east area).
Bus 3 - Richard Markham, driver. Gid Brown/Harris Hollow. Start from Covington River on Route 622 at approximately 7:25 a.m. ; left on Route 614 about three miles to turnaround; left on Route 623; left on Route 622 and pickup up to Health Department at Route 628.
Bus 4 - Barbara Gore, driver. Rock Mills area. Start at approximately 7:25 a.m. at Rock Mills heading east on Route 622; right on Route 729; right on Route 618; right on Route 619; right on Route 626; left on Route 622; right on Route 621 about 1/4 mile to turnaround; right on Route 622 and pickup up to U.S. 211.
