Pomeroy Clark
Pomeroy “Tucker” Clark, 55, of Nethers, died Saturday, Aug. 22 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.
Mr. Clark was born June 21,1937 in Washington, D.C., the son of Audrey Strother Early of Culpeper and the late Pomeroy P. Clark. He was a carpenter.
His wife was the late Lyndall Lorraine Clark who died Aug. 15, 1991.
Survivors in addition to his mother include a daughter, Robin Rider of Nethers; three sons, Tucker Clark of Syria and Darrell Clark and Allan Clark, both of Nethers; five grandchildren and a best friend Adele Anderson.
Additional survivors include two sisters, Mary Kennedy of Chantilly and Linda Winkler of Culpeper and a brother John Clark of Culpeper.
Mr. Clark was predeceased by two sisters, Betty Sheehy and Jane Goff.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 25 at Etlan Methodist Church with the Rev. Patricia Murphy and the Rev. David Ford officiating. Burial was in the Etlan Cemetery.
Due to Mr. Clark’s love for animals, memorial contributions may be made in the form of dog food, cat food or horse feed.
Clore Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
Julia Gordon
Julia Ann Watts Gordon, 57, of Daytona Beach, Fla. and formerly of Sperryville, died Friday, Aug. 21 at her home. She had been ill since June 2.
Mrs. Gordon was bom Dec. 13, 1934 in Washington, D.C., the daughter of the late George and Gertrude Meekins Watts.
