Rapidtran Will Not Operate
Rapidtran will not operate on Wednesday. Jan. 1 in observance of New Year’s. Rapidtran is a program of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board.
Rapidtran serves the general public as well as clinets of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board in the five counties of Planning District 9.
Master Gardener Training
The Fauquier County Extension Office will conduct the 1997 Master Gardener Volunteer Training Program during February and March. Classes will be conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a m.,to 11:30 a.m; at the Extension Office in Wacrenton. The first class will be Feb. 4.
The Master Gardener Program involves 50 hours of classroom instruction. Upon completion of the classroom portion, participants are required to return 50 hours of volunteer service to the program.
The cost for the program is $75, which includes the Virginia Mastei* Gardener Handbook. Persons interested in the program should contact the Fauquier Extension Office at 341-7950. All applicants must make an appointment to pick up a registration form and participate in an orientation interview.
