Conservation practices installed were 60 acres of strip-cropping and a spring development for livestock watering. Row crops consisting of com, grain sorghum and soybeans are planted by no-till.
In addition, Mr. Welch has developed a farm conservation plan, follows nutrient management recommendations, and is a certified pesticide applicator.
