Cathy Lou Smith resigned from her position as school board representative for the Jeffersonton District at the monthly school board meeting on Monday, Oct. 12. As I reported before, Cathy Lou will have her right kidney removed on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at Fairfax Hospital. She has always been very active in our community and we will continue to keep her in our prayers as she recovers from her surgery and begins her treatments.
