The Rappahannock-Rapidan
Disabilities Service Board (R-RDSB) would like to recognize the Trinity Episcopal and Washington Baptist churches by commending them on their efforts to make their buildings more accessible to handicapped individuals. Both churches have recently installed ramps providing easier access and egress.
Trinity Episcopal has also installed a sound system and a chair lift for access to restroom facilities. Their efforts identify them as a strong supporter of community needs and a good neighbor. The R-RDSB thanks them for removing a barrier for the senior and disabled citizens of the area.
The R-RDSB is dedicated to improving the self-sufficiency of people with disabilities in our region. Serving physically and sensory disabled citizens in Orange, Rappahannock, and
coverage.
It is interesting to note that Sprint is willing to take another look at a proposed site in Amissville, mostly due to the pressure of that local fire department and other citizens.
