The Rappahannock School Board members voted unanimously late Tuesday night to hire Thomas S. Campbell of Luray as assistant principal of the elementary school. The action came after a long executive session which did not end until 1:40 a.m.

The Rappahannock Extension Homemakers Clubs held their 18th annual achievement program on Monday night at the Sperryville fire hall. Officers for the coming year were installed by Mrs. Mary Priest. Officers are Mrs. Mary Stuart Bain, president; Mrs. Ann Clate, vice president; secretary, Mrs. Doris Donald and treasurer, Miss Ellen Mustoe.

The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League recently held a drawing for a car and a Flint Hill man was the winner. George Grimsley held the winning ticket for a 1964 Chrysler New Yorker, which was awarded on Oct. 13.
