coordinated this special event which is always a joy to attend. Children of all ages are given the opportunity to share their love of reading by telling a story, singing about a favorite book, writing a poem about a memorable character, performing a portion of a book, or otherwise sharing something that they enjoyed.

The children prepare independently and the audience is always very appreciative of the children’s efforts. Please consider attending this special event which will pre-empt the regularly scheduled November meeting.

• If you are interested in having your child’s picture taken at RCES, Picture Make-up Day is scheduled for Nov. 29. Please mark your calendar. If your child was absent when pictures were

taken or if you simply were

not pleased with the first

round of photographs, this

is your big chance.

• Schools will close at

the regular time next Wednesday for the Thanksgiving holiday. We Will return to school on the following Monday.

• RCHS Sports and Club Pictures will be taken on Dec. 3. If you have questions about this or would like more information, please call Kelly Settle at 987-8575.

• If you have not visited RCES lately you may not have seen the enormous pile of clothing in the lobby that has been “lost” by students during the past few months. The items on display have not been claimed and would surely be expensive to replace. If
