Clinic will be open Nov. 28
The Rappahannock Free Clinic, a local operation of the Fauquier Free Clinic Inc., is currently open on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. The clinic will be open Wednesday, Nov. 28 this month due to the Thanksgiving holiday and not again until Dec. 5.
Patient registration is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Public Health Department Building. For additional information call 347-0394.
Annual awards ceremony set
The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution will hold its annual awards ceremony at the Our Saviour Lutheran Church on Route 605, just east of the US 15/29 bypass in Warrenton on Nov 17. The awards will be given to honor citizens who have exhibited the highest principles of good citizenship through their devotion to God, Country and fellow man.
The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter is a component of the Virginia Society Sons of the American Revolution and the National Society Sons of the American Revolution and serves the counties of Rappahannock, Culpeper, Madison, Orange and Fauquier. Saturday hike planned
Ragged Mountain offers a Second Saturday Hike on Dec. 8. Group usually meets at Mountainside Market west of Sperryville between 8-8:30 a m. and caravan from there for a full day’s adventure along Rappahannock River Watershed upper tributary trails in SNP, finishing around mid-to-late afternoon. Participants should be fairly fit, bring nourishment for themselves and layerable clothing according to the weather of the day. Youth under 16 should have adult accompaniment. Specific destinations may vary according to group composition, weather or other factors. Those interested should contact Hunt Harris at 987-3366 for information.
Aerobic classes planned
Ongoing aerobic classes are held at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 8 to 9:30 a m. For additional information call Beth Levick at 635-6149.
Drevas’ work on exhibit
The exhibit entitled, “Gleanings from Rappahannock 2001: of and from the Forest,” by Jeanne Drevas is currently on display at Blue Ridge Windows in Warrenton. The exhibit runs through Nov. 23. Additional information is available at www.blueridgewindows.com.
Artists exhibit at Gallery
“Garden Images” is the title of an exhibit of new works by Virginia artists Mary Brownstein and Margaret Novak to be seen during the month of November at the Middle Street Artists Gallery in Washington. The Gallery is open Friday through Sunday from 11 a. m. to 6 p.m.
Yoga with Lilo
